Modern Rock band 40 Sons came together in the spring of 2004 and began creating their own style of alternative rock by combining melodic vocals, pulsing rhythms and heavy guitar riffs.  2009 proved to be a very busy year for the band. 40 Sons released another new self-titled EP
early in the year that was extremely well received by both Industry and the band’s rapidly growing Ontario fan base. It was time to take the
project to the next level which is exactly what the band did teaming up with Management Company TNLEC in March 09.

With a new name, new direction, and a focus to be one of Canada’s hardest working bands, 40 Sons took their high energy live show on the
road playing more than 100 dates in 5 months. From Vancouver to Montreal, 40 Sons announced themselves as a band to be watched including conquering numerous big festivals and sharing stages with iconic Canadian Bands as Default and 54-40. Drawing comparisons to bands such as Three Days Grace, A Perfect Circle, and Billy Talent, 40 Sons continued to cultivate their own unique sound. That sound ultimately came to the attention of Award-Winning Producer Dale Penner of Paradise Alley Studios (Matt Good, Nickelback, Holly McNarland, Econoline Crush) where the band recorded new tracks in November 09 to be included on their first LP “Madness”.

2010 promises to be 40 Sons’ most active year to date. Armed with their new LP “Madness”, 40 Sons released the first single “The End” to Commercial Radio in January, will be releasing the new LP to Campus Radio in February and will be hitting the road, playing constantly and relentlessly, with more than 250+ live show performances projected. Plans are also in the works to shoot a music video for the dark and thought provoking song “I Have The Gun” with a late Spring release.

A/COLLISION tests the boundaries of the accepted and expected through melody, verse and lyric. An alternative rock band with a range of
musical influences, a/collision blends the electronic processing of Nine Inch Nails, the lyricism and mood of Depeche Mode and the musical experimentation of Tool to create an emerging new, hybrid sound in Toronto’s independent music scene.

A/COLLISION began in 2008 with founding members, David Christopher (vocals) and Mike Ponte (guitar), who infused a/collision’s
songwriting and instrumentalism with their combined experience and influences from previous projects. Early in their careers, a/collision worked with experienced producers, as well as collaborated with record label Seven Fields recordings to create a distinctive sound.   After completing an
impressive 40 song catalogue, A/COLLISION’s focus has shifted to live performance. Joining members (Alan Walsh,Aubrey Dayle, Mark Walsh)
have rounded out the a/collision experience through a juxtaposition of skill and creative talents and
by bringing world-wide industry and touring experience.

- Alaska Army Band -

Nestled aside the North shore of lake Superior in the small town of Thunder Bay, Ontario, resides the

Alaska Army Band. The project was conceived in 2009 by bassist, Evan Hadley (former bass player of Camden Blues and the
Overnight Sensations 2005-08). After the implosion of the Camden Blues Band, Hadley decided it was time for a project of his own. He brought along fellow Overnight Sensation, Greg Carveth (guitar), and reunited with old friend and long time collaborator, Jeff Kenelly (guitar). Together they quickly
wrote a small repertoire of music and after experimenting with several percussionists and drummers, they eventually tamed Dan “The Danimal” Tremblay (formerly of Jessbone and the Nomadz). The line-up was complete.

After only two months the Alaska Army Band recorded their first demo EP "We’re All the Same but Different" and has since been promoting the album, playing over 40 shows at various local clubs/events. Now, only a year later, the Alaska Army Band has firmly established itself as one of the most unique and entertaining live bands in Thunder Bay.  Although the Alaska Army Band describe themselves as a psychedelic folk-rock, jam band with funk and blues overtones, it is clear that by blending a variety of styles they are striving to break down barriers between musical genres.

The Alaska Army Band is currently planning a 2010 Cross-Canada Summer Tour while writing material for a new full length CD release.

Formed in 2008 in Kingston, ON, Chase The Light, Patrick Donovan (Vocals/Piano), Alex Arthurs (Guitar/Piano), Stefan Thedorf (Guitar),
Chris Maurice (Bass) and Nick Gallinger (Drums), has done so much in the little time being a band. If it’s opening for a major act, playing at a festival, or playing at a charity show to help raise awareness. Chase The Light has done it.  Chase The Light is only from a small town, but they have built a great fan base all over Ontario from playing in cities from London-Ottawa. Chase The Light plans to release their EP on March 16th.

Toronto-based band Fairchild comprise 4 brothers in their 20’s, these modern rockers have been making quite a buzz this past year! 
In July Fairchild played a show just outside of Toronto for more than 30,000 people w/ Finger 11, Marianas Trench and others.  They’ve also released
2 singles to commercial radio, Dare To Believe, their debut single, set a record @ Toronto's Z103.5, where they were
UNDEFEATED for 5 CONSECUTIVE NIGHTS on Z103’s daily "Head 2 Head"competition! Beating Jamie Fox/ T-Pain, Mariah Carey, amongst others. 
In May, Fairchild did a private showcase for Chad Kroeger of Nickelback and other big wigs,
who are now closely following the exciting evolution of Fairchild.

Making waves in their local scene of Hamilton Ontario, GRUVE has played such events as Rogers Spring Music Fest,
Festival of Friends, Bookies Nu Music Nite at the Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto and the Come Together Music Fest to name a few.  With a second full length album under their belts, the three piece has put a lot of effort into making their live show a high energy party atmosphere, forcing people
to their feet and getting them moving.  Covering many musical styles, the band has over thirty original songs ranging from up tempo reggae inspired music to dirty slide guitar tracks to jammy dance songs.  GRUVE played close to 90 shows in 2009, the goal for the
upcoming year is to play as much as possible, in as many different cities as possible.

Toronto/G.T.A. based band finally formed in the late fall of 2006. It all started a few years ago when Desmond
saw Ian’s great raging solo performance at the Hard Rock Café in downtown Toronto. Ironically the multi talented Matt is the drummer for Ian’s cover band and at the same time Matt is an mc for his own hip-hop crew project. Later on, Des met Dave at a party but at the moment is a drummer for another band and is looking for a vocalist. It basically didn't pan out. As the tides go down and the frustration of looking for a drummer seem to no end. Dave Hodges bumped with Ian at a bar in Dundas Ontario, the talk between the two became a sweet sound in the air. After those long auditions of other musicians. Dave became the drummer for R.D.B., his metal music drumming background made learning new songs peanuts, it took him a week to learn the whole album! After the tour in Asia, the keyboardist had an obligation for himselft and had to part ways with the band. After five months they played a show in support to raise money for the orphans. The band met Thivy, a classically trained keyboardist and piano player. Thivy knew that RDB is looking for a new keyboardist. The first jam together is made of gold. The line up is now complete. In addition to more changes, our awesome guitarist Ian is moving to Vancouver with his new project and career. Our circle of friends has been blessed with artists and musicians and made possible by Henry Dunn to take Ian's place as the guitarist for RDB.

With a unique sound encompassing rock, pop and alternative the Kingston based 5 piece will continue to garner interest from the industry as it works to become a household name. The band will continue to play shows throughout Ontario in the spring and has already started working on new songs for a follow up album to be released in late 2010. The new songs will exibit the bands willingness to evolve musically, showcasing a wider spectrum of soundscapes and lyrical concepts. The project has been undertaken with an uncompromising eye for detail, and an objective “no strings attached” attitude.  WAXMEN continue to expand their horizons to clubs and radio stations across the country and beyond.  Maintaining a prolific tour schedule, they reach out to the people who resoundingly reach back. 
WAXMEN recently released their debut full length CD entitled “Eleven”, which will be available on ITunes in the very near future and is streaming for free on the website. It is a landscape rich with silky vocal harmonies and hummable melodies juxtaposed against crunchy guitar riffs and bludgeoning drums.
